Indigenous Gathering Center

The programming for this concept was discussed with the Tribal Nations Student Affairs office at the University of Idaho and the 13 Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation and is on the ancestral land of the Nimiipuu, Palouse and Coeur D’ Alene tribes. The designs in this studio were used as a way to persuade the president of the University of Idaho to consider the center as a possibility. The building has a makerspace, a commercial processing kitchen, gathering center, student resource center and offices.
